Corrupted hobbit characters?
Ok, so you might think that I didn't read the book, but I did. I need to find three characters who fall victim to greed and power. I can think of Bilbo for stealing the Arkenstone, but I don't think thats very good. Thorin- Because he doesn't give bard any treasure. And I guess Gollum- for going crazy over the ring (But I don't think he's a main enough character. So I really need better examples, please help???

Boromir was actually in the The Fellowship of the Ring, not The Hobbit. Thorin was a good example, and of course, Gollum, the ultimate greedy one. The Master of Laketown was also greedy and is a good choice. Lobelia Sackville Baggins is also one greedy lady.
I only inserted the source for the Master of Laketown, as the others are pretty well known.

Doh. I stand corrected. Boromir wasn't in The Hobbit. I guess I was just thinking of the series as a whole.
