Good Idea for this concept!!! please...?
I have to write an essay of 500 words (I am writing a story). It's "What if you wake up 20 years after"
I need a good Idea by which I can devote a lot to the descriptions of the future.
I REALLY SUCK AT SCI FI, please give me some good Ideas, I am not asking you to do my essay, that I can do (fortunately). Just give me a good concept, you can make it very scanty and precise, I don't mind. By the way I prefer a tragic end:)

Perhaps... these could help?
Positive change!
- The whole building was so different and everything just seems to float; cars, etc. People invented many things that was unthinkable!
- People invented a dimension-travel thing. So you can jump to wherever you want!
- Time travel! This could lead you going to the past again and do things that will affect the future~
- Robots everywhere! Humans already created robots that do works instead of them. In every corner you see them! As trash bins (recycle), post man, etc
- You see another you! A grown up version of you and your friends~! Or perhaps there are clones there! LOL
Negative change!
- Perhaps there's war...? That will change the future into many nations etc.
- World domination! (errr?)
- Global warming effects the future... Make it full of water and no land! (LOL this is crazy)

What are you going for? If you want to write about future machines and awesome cars, do so. If you want to write a love story, you could write about seeing your girlfriend/boyfriend twenty years older, while you are the same age.

how about aliens?
or maybe too much industrialization and disease so that everyone are forced to wear bio mechanical suits and live underground
or maybe an outbreak of super bug causes half the population to die and the remaining form one country
