Is it too soon to ask my acoustic parnter whan she will be reay to gig again.?
My Acoustic partner is an incredible vocalist. She had a baby a about a week ago and I'm a little upset that she did not call/text/ emial to let me know- but I did see it on Facebook and I congratulated her.
She said she would be ready a few months afte the baby is born to resume gigging. I have to start booking as the spring season is approaching. Is is too soon to call her and ask when specifically she will be ready as I do need to book dates. Thanks.

If you are working partners I feel you have a right to know where you stand. A baby does turn life upside down so if it only happened a week ago she probably is consumed with organising and adjusting to a new lil person in her life and hasn't had much time to consider your position. Rather than be blunt, why not go visit with a little gift for the new addition and gently broach the subject as to leave it open ended leaves you in limbo. Dont be pushy as this will put her under pressure and if she is as good as you say you will not want to risk her making a rash decision.

If she said "a few months" then she will not be gigging this spring at all.
Yes, it is far too soon to ask her when she plans to go back to work...but I strongly suspect you already knew that and only posted this to troll. Calling the baby "it" and all the oh so casual comments about how upset you are that _she_ didn't call rather give that away.
