I am a Certified Veterinary Technician and in short answer, it depends on how many grapes and how tolerant the dog is. Yes, grapes can be toxic to some dogs especially if eaten in large amounts. However, some dogs can eat 4-5 grapes and it is no problem for them. I would not allow him to eat very many of them (since he's a small dog) and watch him when he does eat them to see if he gets sick or lethargic. If he does, take him to a veterinary clinic and no more grapes! :)

Yes, grapes are toxic to dogs, make sure he never eats them, it would not take many grapes to make him very sick because he is a small breed. my dogs love to play with a ice cube, try that it is really funny to see them play.

Grapes and raisins have shown to cause renal failure in dogs. I assume it would have to be larger quantities, not just one by accident.
