sir,i am a pagdi building owner in mumbai,thane,my tenants give me rent around rs.250-rs.350 per flat from last 15-20 years.can i increase double or triple the rent to them legally,pls suggest me if i increase then how much should i increase the rent to them?

Yes you can increase. It is a paltry sum only, so you can demand triple.

So how would you feel if you were a tenant and your landlord suddenly tripled your rent?
You should have raised it by 5%-10% every year or two

Well it depends on the lease? You can't raise it if they are on a lease, but after the lease ends you can raise the price after the written contract ends. You may have a lot of your tenants leave, if you raise the price though.

yeah u can increase it but not directly double or triple. u can increase it by 5-10% every year when u renew ur agreement,.
