What does it mean if you dream of a purple city?
Its kind of a recurring theme with my dream, as well as various "terrors", such as plaster-of-paris mummies created by a virus (creepy). Some of my friends have also experienced this, as well as dreaming of a golden city (not actual gold, just colored gold). The "purple" in question is a very dark, ominous, purple and the city is usually very dark, with very little light coming from anywhere. Sometimes when I have this dream I start in either a familiar place or a tower that looks kind of like my room in real life. What does it mean? Elaboration on the golden city would be helpful as well.

To see a city in your dream signifies your social environment and sense of community. If you dream of a big city, then it suggests that you need to develop closer ties and relationships. You are feeling alienated and alone. To dream that you are in a deserted city indicates that you feel rejected by those around you.
Purple is indicative of devotion, healing abilities, loving, kindness, and compassion.�It is also the color of royalty, high rank, justice, wealth and dignity.
I think you just need to get closer to your friends/family or find some new ones.
