What is the standard or average size of a laptop?

    14 inch is average.

    15.6 inch is standard.

    The overall size is mostly a factor of screen size, and that can be 13" to 17", with 15", with screen sizes diagonally measured, and often wide screen (16:10) aspect.

    Depends, here in the Netherlands 15,6" is the standard size, but 17.3" is very common too.

    Now with the rise of netbooks 10.6" and 13.3" are very popular too.

    I always go for 15.6 inches but thats just me .
