Why arent they considering Fabrizio Miccoli, I heard Prandelli is considering Totti and DiNatale.?

Question

I heard that Prandelli is considering Totti and Dinatale for the 2012 Euro since Rossi and Cassano have been out with injuries. DiNatle is a no brainer considering all the goals he's scored over the past three years but Totti is another story. Miccoli's production and leadership for Palermo by far supercede what Totti is doing for Roma. Miccoli currently leads Serie A with 9 assists and has ten goals in 18 games. The guy would add a ton of creativity that was lacking until Cassano was brought on. What is it with this guy that nobody will call him up. He had a great year before the World Cup but had a serious knee injury that has not seen him return back to his top form until this year. The only excuse I can see is if they want to go with younger players but Totti is 36 while Miccoli while not young is four year younger and doesn't seem to have lost much with his current play.

I think your wrong to say that he isnt good enough and his creativity is top notch however I will agree with you for the need for a trequartista, if this is the case I think Giovinco is the way to go because off his youth.

I don't know about Miccoli and i don't think he is good enough , Italy needs a trequartista to add creativity to the team ,  ATM there are only a few players capable to do that job

Edit : Giovinco is too inconsistent and he is more of a winger/attacking midfielder , but totti is F/Am that's what Italy needs and i believe he is still capable of making good passes that can be beneficial for the team and miccoli is not good enough in that aspect .

He wont pick miccoli, he's too old and he said he wasn't going to receive another call up 2 years ago. I think they need a ceeative player luke totti in the cam, buffon said that's what was missing in last years world cup

Micolli is too old there was a reason he wasn't chosen and is a late bloomer, but more than what totti is done don't fool yourself
