why is there different 10 shekel coins?

And can they be used the same way or is there specific times when one is needed to be used over the other?

Update:

I am talking about the gold/silver 10 shekel and the plain silver 10 shekel.

Do you use them for anything other than buying stuff?

If that was the only use, then 10 Shekel is 10 Shekel. Am I right?

From the following link, can you tell which 10 Shekels you are talking about?. You just point at them. no need to come back to me.

Some Israeli coins have have more than 1 pictures, although they have the same value. They all value the same, and work the same way.
