In need of some serious advice?
I'm currently home from college and I told all my friends that I was going abroad for the semester. In reality, I am just staying home for the semester because I was mentally unstable at college. All of my friends think I am out of the country but I have no pictures or evidence that I will be out of the country. I can't tell them the truth at this point but what would be the second best option?

Tell them the truth and confess when they start asking about your trip. You don't have to go into detail since it's really none of their business as far as your medical issues go. Just tell them, there actually was no trip abroad and due to some personal issues that you needed to take care of, you came home for the semester. Tell them you didn't want to disclose that at the time you told them, because you really didn't want to be pressed about it. You made a judgment call to divert the issue until you were ready to deal with the questions. You feel bad about the lie but they must understand it wasn't meant to be pretentious, or to show off. You still don't feel comfortable talking specifically about what the personal issue was, just know that you needed to go get your sh!t together. The more you elaborate on this blatant lie, the more you'll look like an ultimate douche when people start to figure out that you never went to Europe.

Assuming you haven't already claimed to have left, you could say you changed your plans and are staying in your hometown that semester. Otherwise, you are kind of stuck. Your options are to craft an elaborate story about your trip and an excuse for not having pictures, or just come clean. Real friends won't judge you, they will even forgive the lie. They will understand that your situation wasn't easy to talk about. I think if you stick with the travel story, you will eventually be caught and make things even more awkward.

*shaking my head* well the only option that I see is to tell the truth and if they are your friends they will help you out the best that they can.
In Psychology class we just went over about stress it have been said that if someone has good honest friends then their friends can actually make that stress lower and help out the friend in need.
Good luck and hope this helped

Google is a hell of a tool, photo crop the best f*ckin pictures you could ever muster. Don't go abroad. Go above and beyond.
