If you normally walk your dog on a harness, have you found a good harness dog coat for bad weather?
Last winter I had difficulty finding a dog coat with an opening for the lead to use with my dog who walks in a harness. Anyone used a good brand? I tried the Pawz IZ dog coat but couldn't use my dog's regular harness with it, as it is a dog coat with a built-in harness.

but i don't use a harness unless we are in the car, as I have better control on her collar

What I do is use a dog sweater that fits my puppy. I purchased a Comfy Control Harness from the As Seen On TV but you can get it at some retail stores or online at amazon.com. But I got the size he needed but made sure it had a little extra to make it a little bigger then when I put it on I put it on around his sweater. It's easy to put on/take off so it's not a big hassle to use like regular harness.

Harnesses encourage pulling, train them to not pull. Choke and prong collars are great for this. Re your last post: You will learn to teach them to walk on a leash properly when they pull you into the road with oncoming traffic and a hurt ankle. What happens if the driver doesn't see you? Is your dog going to be able to stop a car going 50 miles an hour?
