In your opinion, what MLB baseball MANAGER will be fired FIRST in the upcoming 2012 season?
If you had a chance to win $1 million for answering the question in the title (What major league baseball manager will be the first to get fired in 2012, who whould it be?) I suppose your answer COULD be not a single manager will be fired this season...What would be your answer?

Padres may lose patience and try to shake up the team by firing Bud Black which wouldn't make a difference in team's success or failure.
Another possibility is Dusty Baker. He's about reached his usual manager length of service, now with the Reds, and could go if they falter early.
I'd accept only $.5 million if either is fired first.

Terry Collins-New York Mets
This guy is managing in a tough division. They compete against the Phillies, Braves, a revamped Miami Marlins team, and the Washington Nationals which finished only one game below .500 last year with 80 wins. Looking at their 2012 depth chart, after David Wright 3B, the rest of the lineup is watered down. It is going to be a long season for Mets fans. By the way I will take my cool million in small bills.
Runners up on the chopping block are:
Brad Mills-Astros
Dale Sveum-Cubs
Ron Gardenhire-Twins(oh it can happen! only 63 wins last year)
Bobby Valentine-Red Sox(a slow start and Boston fans will ask for Big V's job)

If the Yankees trip out of the gates then i would say Joe Girardi, the owners are always quick to pull the trigger and lay blame on their manager when things don't go right
**In response to Nick-........The Yankees are the oldest American League team (avg age 28.6), only the Phillies and Arizona are older at 28.9 and 28.7 avg age respecitively , their perennial all stars are at the end of their ropes and I just do not see where they improved that much over the off season. We did not see George at his finest at the end of his life because Torre was winning, and even since his death they have been winning and are only 3 years removed from their last WS. Im just saying if they trip out of the gate (not saying they will) then fingers will start being pointed about their age and their lack of action during the off season and usually the scape goat is the Manager, therefore Girardi.
*** Check out this link I found after posting my response to Nick. Looks like Kirk Gibson could be on the bubble also if Arizona does not get off to a good start.

If the Braves play poorly than Fredi Gonzalez. Also if the tigers don'tt do anything with cabrera and fielder then Leyland would be fired. If he is I hope he comes to Atlanta lol.

I'm going to say Brad Mills.
@johnny z: Seriously? That might of been the case when George Steinbrenner was running the Yankees but I don't think his son's are as quick at pulling the trigger on their manager than their father was. And what gives you the impression that the Yankees are going to get off to a slow start? They are one of the best teams in baseball.

Mike scoscia. He now has high priced player, to go with a playoff drought. Now u r goin to see first hand what an owner will do if he has a high payroll and no success.

Dusty Baker, because he deserves to be fired.
