MCR fans only, '''I Brought You my Bullets You Brought Me Your Love'' concept?

Ok so.. sorry for asking this right now but I am a recent fan.. (2 years now xP... humm.. just saying) and talking about this it's really interesting..

So in the album ''I Brought You my Bullets You Brought Me Your Love'' the storyline is about two Demolition Lovers isn't it? I do get the meaning of the songs (in my own way, of course.. I honestly don't fully understand them) but what I don't know is how do they fit in the storyline.. for me, each song has it own meaning.. but what would I know I guess..

and people keep confusing me.. they keep saying that the lyrics are just creepy and that Gerard is a crazy man because of writing this things.. (and it was a Killjoy who said that..) but man.. it is a concept album am I wrong?

''Gerard is just good at making metaphors.

...metaphors are meant to speak to somebody in a way that they believe means the most to them.

If we can relate to them, thats great, but Gerard writes the songs for himself, not just the fans, meaning,

Gerard is the only one that knows the exact meanings''

I agree with this.. I mean, maybe we'll never understand what the lyrics mean to Gerard.. or why or how did he wrote those lyrics (and I'm not saying they are wrong or creepy.. personally I think they are so meaningful and sometimes I do can relate to them..)

so basically what I'm asking is opinions.. how do you think the lyrics fit in with the storyline? and what do you think about this whole concept thing?

Note:

NO HATERS

JUST KILLJOYS/MCR FANS

and well.. I'm feeling stupid now .. so sorry if my questions are so dumb

No, other guy, MCR is not for children. It is for people who enjoy their music. Many of which are teenagers, but still. People should listen to whatever they enjoy, music should never be restricted to or from certain groups of people. And I don't even like MCR.

Gerard said that when him and MCR wrote the album "bullets" (srry trying not to type as much lol)

that he was a complete drunk (which he was and i am SO entirely thankful that he is no longer an alcoholic). He also mentioned that the songs don't really go together it's just a bunch of songs in one album.

Im so happy to know that you love MCR too! Ive been a fan since '05 :)

    Take care!

-your fellow Killjoy (lol) :) <3

It is defonately a concept album, but not all the songs follow this closely, like skylines and turnstiles was written after gerard witnessed 9/11 and this is the best day was written after gerard got out of hospital from a tooth absess treatment. overall it talks about these two lovers running away from vampires etc. I think gerard wanted it to percieved whatever way the person listening thought it was. Though every song does follow this concept by its lyrics summed up by the song demolution lovers at the end. Though gerard was going through a really rough time during the writting of that album, he was a severly depressed alcoholic, the song headfirst for halos was actually written about pills he was taking ect ''red ones....blue ones...''. So although it is supposed to be a concept album, its very personal to him, you can hear that.

I love that album. I love that band

Im pretty sure its a concept album, gerard hasnt really made it clear, but i dont think all of the songs fit into the concept of demolition lovers, they all (to me) just have the same feeling and ability to tell a story. Like how early sunsets its based on Dawn of The Dead, they all have the same sort of theme but not the same storyline.

its an amazing and meaningful album, i mean they made it in a bit over a week which is amazing and a real testimony to how talented gerard is, i dont understand why so many people have this weird thing against mcr, i think its cause they dont really know enough about them.

Well on the inside of the Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge album it says "The story of a man. A woman. And the corpses of a thousand evil men...". And I think they're linked because some of the songs on the bullets album is about "The story of a man. A woman. And the corpses of a thousand evil men..." like "Drowning Lesson". lol I hope I helped a little.
