IPod jailbreak preserving apps?
I really want to jailbreak my iPod but I saw my friends iPod and all the previous downloaded apps got erased. I want to preserve all my apps and still jailbreak it I know there are bunch of softwares like redsn0w but please tell me which software to use to preserve my apps

If you use redsnow then you'll need to download a firmware so it can be jailbroken then loaded on your device. If you use greenpoison you don't need to dl a firmware. Just plug and follow the instructions. Also you your computer does need a active internet connection.
So if you use gp, it won't erase your apps. You can still backup before jailbreaking in itunes.

there is no app to 'preserve' your apps..but before you jailbreak..backup your ipod using itunes..then jailbreak..after jailbreaking, when you connect your ipod to itunes..you will be asked if you want to set it up as a new ipod or restore from a backup..choose restore and all your apps will be back.
