I have a question about a vz24?

I inherited a VZ24 that my grandpa bought at auction. It has the czech lion, and a D5 serial number. It does not have army acceptance marks, or a year of manufacture. Is there a way to get any more details from it?

I want to throw out, that someone had the rifle Bubba'd....

Update:

I found an R A stamped at the end of the barrel with a 4 leafed palm tree lookin thing...and it has that cylleric letter that looks like a block A at the endo of the stock.

Library Guns of The World and look it up. The VZ24 is a fine shooting gun and there are places you can get parts for them. SARCO is one there in SHOOT GUN NEWS as are other parts suppliers: I have used SARCO and have been pleased to do business with them. They have moved from New Jersey to Pennsylvania were there is less nutty gun control laws. Take good care of it: it is a fine gun.
