I have a tingling/vibrating sensation in my knee?

It feels like my cell phone is going off inside my knee but I keep it in my backpack. I'm not sure if its a muscle spasm or just something else. It's been happening all day and its EXTREMELY distracting! I can see it vibrating through my jeans and even my friends notice it. It doesn't hurt but it's just startling and really annoying. I can't focus on my schoolwork when its vibrating every 5 seconds to 5 minutes. I've tried massaging it, whacking it, and even not moving my leg for a while and nothing works! I've had a lot of caffeine lately so I think that may be it. This has only happened one other time in my elbow and I had a cup of coffee then too. I think I'll lay off the coffee and caffeine for a while but in the meantime what can I do? It's still going on even as I type this.

B.T.W. I haven't been on any medication in the past two months and they were allergy pills, and I'm 14

these nervous "ticks" can be caused by your growth , it is somewhat normal , but if it persists that might mean you have either a lack of vitamins (kids these days don't eat properly) or that something is interfering with your nerves ,which means that you might have a problem with your spine.

many students develop back problems (e.g. scoliosis) from lack of exersise and carrying heavyy back packs (some of them don't cause much problem ), and because all nerves of the body go through the spine , any problems in that area might cause symptoms like nervous ticks that don't go away. Those can happen at any part of your body except from your head
