How do you find a partner when you're not out yet?
Ok so if you're a masculine type of bloke, you know the type who you'd never guess that they were gay. You're not ready to 'come out' so obviously going to gay bars/clubs is not going to happen.
How can you find a partner if nobody knows you're gay? I mean I don't know a single gay person so how does it work?

Terrier dude you're talking about Manchester! I mean there's a gay village for goodness sake they even have it on their maps. I've actually been to canal street when I was visiting someone in Manchester it's a pretty cool area, bit mad though and the older blokes scared me a little. Still it's not seen as weird for straight folk to party in canal street because it's like party central in Manchester, bit different down here in Bath...
No chance of persuading my mates to come with me our one and only gay pub. It's different in Bristol but again if we're in Bristol we ain't gonna find ourselves at a gay bar.The day I suggest we hit some gay bar is pretty much the day I come out. Cheers though and maybe next time I'm in Manchester or London I'll hit up canal street or soho.

Why do you say that? I'm straight, but I've drunk in gay bars before now. Canal Street in Manchester is quite a chilled out way of starting a night out, or at least it used to be (I haven't been since I moved south).

Im affriad there are only 2 options, rather come out, or partially come out to some people, find a LGBT club in your area.
The second option is online, yes its dangerous, but there are a lot of nice guys online, I recommend using Trevor Space, its great for finding other LGBT people your age in your area or across the country, another site that you may want to look at is Tagged, Although I personally prefer Trevor Space cause its much more friendlier and there are less creepy people on it as its closley monitored.

I'm butch / masculine. Was never into the bar scene. While I've been out for 10+ years, I sort of had the same issue insofar as I've never really been interested / attracted to the "gay" scene. I ended up putting a profile on one of the gay dating sites. It took a while, but I met my partner through the site and we've been together ever since. Have to be careful cuz many use those sites for hook-ups, but it is possible to meet people for serious relationship as well.

there r gay people all over just use ur "gaydar" lol see if thier approchable give them the eye ; )
after the first few times youll get it. hope this helps otherwise have the courage to come out to a few people u trust and maybe they no someone or can help u out...
