If this is actually a serious question...

First you need to address the problem. If a ferret stinks so bad that it's leaving a smell on carpeting and furniture, it's being fed a poor diet that is too high in vegetable matter. Wysong and Evo make good ferret foods.

Second, some Fabreze for pet odors should do for the furniture. See if you can't borrow or rent a carpet shampooer for the carpet, and use some mixture in it specifically for pet odors.

I know one woman who seems to think that an amalgam of catspiss, oddly flavoured coffee mixes from starbucks and her own dirty underwear sprinkled liberally around the floor will neutralise ferret musk.

But the state Health Authorities were of a very different opinion, I hear.

And so were the neighbours who reported the smell.@

Move and leave your furniture at the old place. Stop at the laundromat on your way to the new place. Not to wash your clothes, to drown your ferrets.

Guaranteed method. You will need 5 gallons of high octane gasoline and one match. SPread the gas liberally on the carpet. Light the match.
