FolderLock would have been the best choice. Unfortunately, it's not free:

Good thing there are some free alternatives that you can use for the same purpose:

They can be used to lock USB external hard drive and USB flash drives too.
Just a reminder, NEVER EVER lose your password to those lockers. If you do, there's no way of getting your data back.

its free and easy and is what i think you are looking for gives the ability to very easily hide and lock files.

You should be able to right click it and click properties and do advanced and encrypt it.
