Is it right for a Subway owner to respond to my feedback by saying I'm uneducated (please read what he said)?
I can't get a copy of the feedback I initially sent, but I do have how he responded, and how I responded to what he said. What happened was, I asked for water so he handed me a very small cup, so I went over to the soda machines and pressed the tab for water, but I'm assuming by accident, I pressed the flapper behind the cup a tiny bit to make some sprite come out for one second. So what I got was a mixture of sprite and water. The owner noticed that there are bubbles in my cup, and assumed that I got all sprite on purpose. Therefore, he asked me and I truthfully told him I meant to get water, and he accused me of lying, and starting yelling, literally. There were several other customers and my friends standing there confused watching his rude behavior. So I thought I'd leave feedback and this is how he responded to the feedback I sent,
I receive your complaint you said you never seen smaller cup in your life i fill bad to hand out is smaller cup to my customer but all that we learn from customer like you i use too had a 12 oz cup as a water cup than i keep learning for customer like you than i get 9 oz cup still customer like you misuse that curtasi cup than i get 5oz cup still customer like you still missuse that cup when you ask me for cup i hand to you.i was keep eye on you i saw that you took sprite insted of water i ask you two or three time but you keep said you had water then i said you had sprite you keep lying to me if you said that time by mistake i had sprite i would let you have that but you try to make me full and water and sprite dispenser is two foot far from each other so aducate your self and stop complaint and tell truth lucky you get that cup for free.whats free in america nothing.

First of all, I would like to bring up that you just called your customer uneducated. The funny thing is that you should reread your email, and you will come to the conclusion that you are the uneducated one, not me, after you read all of your spelling mistakes. Educate is not spelled like aducate. Feel is not spelled like fill. courtesy is not spelled like curtasi. It shocks me because you are arguing with someone much much younger then you in age, but now I understand because your email looks like as if a 2 year old wrote it. Anyway, I can honestly tell you that I pressed sprite for a second BY ACCIDENT, but most of the cup was filled with water. No one would actually want a mixture of water and sprite, which is what i received, so i was confused myself. Also, the water and sprite dispenser is not 2 feet away from each other, so now you are the one lying. (By the way, foot is spelled like feet when it's more then 1). I promise you that my intention was to get water, but somehow it got mixed with sprite accidentally. I probably put the cup too far back by mistake. This was my mistake but it was wrong of you to treat a customer the way you did, but your response shows your education level and why you run a Subway instead of work at Merck, or a nice business. I really hope you take the money you are saving with 5 ounce cups, and use it towards spelling and English lessons. Lets end this here by both accepting our mistakes. Thank you.

well, he wasn't correct in his remark. So by that it was an incorrect statement . . but actually he was mostly pissed off and being mean spirited. He used an incorrect word because he lacked a better vocabulary probably. Yes, you may be more educated than him.
I think the larger issue is that he beats up on his customers. He may not be a good fit for a business that requires customers . . that being said . . I know nothing about uou . . maybe you dress like one of those little scummy rats that rolls around looking like a dope with pants hanging low and dirty clothing and a disheveled unkempt look . . and I'm sure he gets plenty of 'em . . just saying . . And kids routinely ask for a cup then go steal from the proprietor . . it's common policy for kids to act like rats and take advantage . . the proprietors of establishments are wise to it and watch.
He treated you like crap . . that is a broken rule in customer service . . even when the proprietor is right . . a customer should not be treated that way . . even subway has that kind of stuff in their manuals on how to interact with the public . .
So, he was a jerk . . you stood up for yourself and retaliated . . .he lost a cusomer and runs the risk of alienating other customers from that act.
So, unfortunately he uncorked on you and was much less than hospitable . . Don't go there any more

I can't tell if you are full of it or not.
I think a solution (at the very start of this) would have been to say I did it by accident would you like me to pour it out and get plain water or even maybe poured out the Sprite once you realized you accidentally did it before being confronted by the store manager.

Your both wrong. Even if you just wanted little sprite (even for a second) thats still dishonesty, but he doesn't have a right to call you uneducated either.

His reply didn't make any sense whatsoever and I doubt that he speaks English. However, it's just a drink that has already been drunk so maybe it's time to let it go? You are right though :)

You are right. Talk to a small claims lawyer and see if you have a case or something. I'd hit his bank account real hard for doing that. Bet he won't do it again after
