Fire Wire surfboards...?

I've read that many people who've owned this brand of surfboards has had delamination problems. Anybody know if its a particular style of their boards or if it varies? I was looking at a Fire Wire sweet potato and comparing it to a C.I. Robber, Pod and Biscuit.

Update:

I know the constructions are different from a firewire and a C.I.. The similarities of all the boards mentioned is their short in height and increased width.

So far thats one "No" regarding having a firewire being delaminated. I also read in swaylocks that firewire would return any delaminated surfboards for repair or exchange for a new. But that's what's holding me back from purchasing a firewire. Again I just wanted to check if the delam problem may be a particular surfboard they make.

Personally I don't like them at all and they aren't worth their cost.

    Everyone's preference is different though.

I'm not sure about delamination, but I've owned a few and had no problem, but do not get a sweet potatoe... No drive at all!! Tried every single fin set up we could imagine!

Firewire are very expensive surfboards. And, I have heard a few good things about them. But, they are made in a very non-traditional manner, and have significant problems if they get a leaky ding. In my personal opinion,. they are very expensive, factory made junk. Anything that is stamped out in a factory lacks the human touch and pride in workmanship that you get with what I call a "real surfboard." I know some surfers really like them, and that is their preference, certainly not mine.

The Firewire construction is totally different. All those other boards are straight Poly. Firewires are way more durable, but definitely have a different feel. It took me a bit to get used to my Firewire. I really like it now though and it will last much longer than my other boards
