How to clean up antifreeze?

My car leaked a lot of antifreeze onto the road last night where I live. I'm taking my car to a mechanic but I was wondering what I should do about the huge puddle of antifreeze in the road. My neighbors all let their cat's out during the day and I'm worried, since animals are attracted to antifreeze and it's fatal, how I can get rid of it before it does harm. It just started raining which I guess is washing some of it away but should I go out there and pour kitty litter on it, or hose it off? I don't know if kitty litter will work, I know it works on gas and oil and I'm also concerned about the cats using the kitty litter and then going to clean their paws later. Any advice would be really appreciated.

Easy one. Empty a full bottle of washing up liquid into the mess, Hose it all away as best you can. Then, sprinkle pepper or tabasco onto the affected area. The cats will leave it be for a good while. I hope this helps. I recently replaced my radiator, and the coolant mix was all over the road. I did what I suggested to you, and my 3 cats are all still fine.

If there's a puddle of anti-freeze out there, I would either spray it off with a hose or just sweep it off the best you can and let the rain wash it off.

Anytime there's a standing puddle of anti-freeze it's very dangerous to pets because it has a sweet taste to it and this is very attractive to them.

Anti-freeze kills a lot of animals every year if left where it's accessible to them.

The rain should take care of it of your still concerned then just spray with with a water hose for a few minutes.

    Kitty litter sounds best.

Then shovel it up, put in trash bag and put in land fill trash.

In "Washing it away," there is no 'away," it still fouls the enviro much more directly than the kitty litter method.

if you do nothing maybe the barking dogs on Saturday morning won't bother you as much.
