?

I took my dog to the vet last week because she was limping, I thought she may have broken her leg, $300.00 later it turned out to be a twisted ankle, or so I thought. We've been giving her a medication prescribed by our vet to reduce swelling but now almost a week later she has licked all of the hair off of a spot on her foot revealing a puncture wound of some sort. I can't identify it and I might be looking for a new vet, I'm just looking on here to see if someone else has ever had this issue with a pet and has some insight as to what to do or what it is. She's a collie/doberman mix. 4 years and 9 months old, healthy, 27lbs. and this happened sometime last sunday night while everyone was sleeping.

I've searched everywhere and can't seem to find this song I heard earlier on Q101. It's lyrics were something like "There are monsters out there...stay with me until morning..." something about wolves or being a wolf in the chorus. It was male vocals, a band I think...definitely never heard it before and the radio stations site doesn't have a 'what we played' option. Any help would be awesome!

My best friend is having a baby in October and I really wanna blow her out of the water. I wanna do a baby tub filled with clothes and bath items. Also a monogrammed baby bag stuffed with stuff. I'm gonna call my limit 150 or less to stuff it. It's a boy! My question is what should I stuff baby bag and other stuff with, good websites to find this stuff at. I've checked her registry's and it's basically clothes and bath stuff that she's asking for. Any ideas to throw out there would be great. Her baby showers in 10 days. Thanks in advance!

My brother got bit by 'something' yesterday in the yard. He didn't see it but there's 3 little bites on his arm and his entire arm is very swollen and pink. He got very nauseas last night so he went to the hospital, fear of being black widow or recluse, the doctor gave him benadryl and said he would be fine but didn't run any tests on it and the hospital we took him to is one of the worst in the country but it's what we have. We live in Virgnia and I know what kind of spiders are here I was just wondering if any of you out there had some insight as to what it might be. My sister says brown recluse but I'm just not convinced and would like help deciphering it. Thanks!

My car leaked a lot of antifreeze onto the road last night where I live. I'm taking my car to a mechanic but I was wondering what I should do about the huge puddle of antifreeze in the road. My neighbors all let their cat's out during the day and I'm worried, since animals are attracted to antifreeze and it's fatal, how I can get rid of it before it does harm. It just started raining which I guess is washing some of it away but should I go out there and pour kitty litter on it, or hose it off? I don't know if kitty litter will work, I know it works on gas and oil and I'm also concerned about the cats using the kitty litter and then going to clean their paws later. Any advice would be really appreciated.

We have had our dog for a year. She came from a home that kept her tied up outside for the most part and had to be given away for getting off of her leash and attacking the neighbors dog. We have had her sister from the same litter for 3 years so they're both 3 years old. Both dogs are up to date on shots, heartworm medications and both spayed. Since we have gotten the other dog she's been very kind to the immediate family (i.e. my fiance', brother and dad). Recurring members of the household she shows aggression toward, like my brothers girlfriend and friends. She corners them and goes right for their throat but backs down when one of us scolds her. We just figured it's because she wasn't socialized enough and we could help her. She's gotten worse within the past couple of weeks though, she has started going after other animals in the household. She has snapped at our senior cat multiple times and gone after her sister more times than I can count. It all started on christmas when both dogs received 2 very large bones, she just snapped and went for her sisters throat. She's the sweetest dog and has never shown any aggression toward the family or animals before christmas. I'm just worried we may not be here to stop her in the future. She's a doberman, collie mix breed and I was just wondering if anyone else has ever had this problem, maybe it's a neurological disorder or something worse. I don't think it's behavioral, she's never been physically abused, her first owners loved her very much and come to visit her a lot and she doesn't show them or their young children any aggression. Also note-worthy, she didn't come to us spayed, she was spayed about a month ago and given all of her shots and she has only seemed to get worse since then. She also shows no aggression outside of our house, we take her for walks and to the vet and park and she never shows a hint of aggression, if anyone approaches her she immediately lays down and lets them rub her belly.

I went to a wedding recently and got those little chocolate kisses bags, so there were like 40 kisses in my suitcase. While at school one of my dogs ripped open my luggage and got to the kisses. I have 2 30 lbs. doberman collie mixes and I'm not sure which one got into it. Neither of them are showing any symptoms of toxic overdose so my question is..how long will it take for the dog, if at all, to show symptoms and what should I expect. Please don't tell me to call my vet, I know that's the obvious answer but none of my vet's are answering and the emergency vet is 60 miles away and 150 dollars just for bringing them in. I want to know which one of the dogs it is before I start shoveling out money for both.

It was too fast to take a picture of but it bit me. I was sitting outside of my house in VA and I saw a spider next to me so I got up but it apparently jumped on me and followed me in the house. It bit my arm when I shook it off and now it's burning. The spider was about 3 inches diameter, long, black, skinny legs, small torso. No coloring of any sorts so it's not a jumping spider, plus it was too big and skinny. I looked up spiders in VA and the only thing I could compare it to is a brown recluse...but black. I don't know if I should go to the hospital or not so...anyone have any answers on what it might be?

I have 2 cats, one is 8 months and the other is 5 months. Both are female and spayed, have their feline distemper shots and rabies vaccination. They are both indoors and haven't had any contact with the outside since they were babies. They now both have worms and ear mites and I don't want to take them to a vet clinic if its an outrageous price because I know theres home remedies for it. But can anyone give me a rough estimate of what it may cost in Virginia or give me a general price of your area? My cats aren't sick or anything I can just tell they have worms because it's in their feces.

I have only had him for about a week, I recently switched him and his brother over to a brackish water tank appropriate size for them. This morning he was fine and i checked the amonia and PH and salinity and everything was fine. I came home from work and he was a very pale color, his stomach is black and his spots are dissapearing. I studied him for a while trying to figure out what was wrong and i noticed a small bump behind the fin on his tummy. I think that might contribute to the problem but i am not completely sure what it is. Also, i bought some parasitic snails and introduced them into the tank for food and some frozen brine shrimp. The lady at the store told me to let it thaw and pour it into the tank and after i did so i looked at the back and it said thawed is really really bad, but wouldnt that affect the other fish to? i dont know whats wrong with him and its really scary because i have grown really attached to him. Can someone help fast?

Theyre in a 10 gallon tank together. I have 2 green spotted puffer fish and an albino 4 inch Oscar and the Oscar is getting beaten up terribly. I dont know what to do with them all, i want oscar to learn to defend himself but i dont want him to die....can anyone help?
