How to find baby sitting jobs?
I really love kids and I also had my purse stolen recently which means that I was thinking about making some extra cash by babysitting. I know my friends do it and we are all 14/15 which is a good age right? But I asked my mum if she knows anyone who needs a babysitter and she said no. I have no idea how to find jobs for it! I am really determined to do this! Also if I do find a job what kind of pay would be a good idea?
Please any tips about baby sitting and finding baby sitting jobs would be great.
Thank you!

Babysitting is great if you love kids and need money.
It's also usually fun and not difficult work. When I babysit, I find I get a lot done once the kids go to bed -- watch a movie, do some homework, whatever.
14/15 is a great age to start babysitting. Before starting, I'd recommend taking a babysitting class or a first aid course. While not totally necessary, it's great to have just in case something were to happen while babysitting.
You're not going to find families to babysit for right off the bat. You'll have to ask around. Maybe go to a local park and meet some of the kids, and let the parents know that you live in the area and are able to babysit. You could also volunteer with an organization for kids (coach a sports team, volunteer with an art club) to meet some kids and parents if you and your parents don't know any. You'll gradually find some people who need babysitters.
Once you find people who need babysitters, ask them to tell anyone else they may know with kids that you're available and willing to babysit.
I wouldn't suggest putting out fliers or posing babysitting services on the internet, just for safety precautions.
As for pay, I usually tell the parents whatever they feel is good. Minimum wage seems to be the going rate. Don't have unreasonable expectations (if you're babysitting in the night, chances are you'll have minimal work because the kids will be asleep) but if they ask, feel free to tell them that you're just starting off, so maybe a few dollars under minimum wage per hour would suffice.
I hope this helps you out! And remember -- If the kids like you, and find you fun and interesting -- and the parents like you because their kids get to bed on time and their house isn't a mess, they're more likely to call you again and give your name to others!
Good luck!
P.S. Sorry about the novel I just wrote
