What does it mean when someone says I am not at the same Level?

In any kind of activity, there are skills that one can acquire. You might think of them as levels, such as beginners, intermediates., and advanced. If you gave ever taken swimming or gymnastics you know that one must pass tests before assign to the next level.

In life, we sometimes use that same reference even though there are no formal tests. It is just something that we say. It can also be used when talking about how someone is perceived.

That actor is good but he's not on the same level as George Clooney. Her mom is a good cook but she's not on the same level as Paula Deen.

If someone says you are not on the same level as they are, they could mean that you are either much better or else not as good as they are. It could go either way.

Usually means our thinking ways/ ideals aren't the same.

It means you're not understanding them.
