Next Tuesday is Shrove Tuesday, or pancake day. We have decided to celebrate with waffles, jam & cream instead of the traditional pancakes with sugar & lemon. Is that bad?

People sometimes forget that the traditions they hold dear now were not around all that long.

According to this second link, ALL pancakes are a part of Shrove tuesday.
