Windows updates are essential for your computer to run at its best. If you have a small hard drive, I highly recommend you buy a larger one or even a external drive to begin using.
Also, with out knowing how big your hard drive is, we can't say if you are taking up all the disk space or not. Though most windows updates are small, around a few MB's

If your hard drive is 12.6 Gb like my compter ten years ago, yeah. If not, you're probably ok.
