When did the aspect radio of the computer monitor change to 16:9 and who marketed it on what computer?

This puzzles me because Wikipedia does not give the answer to this question. I want to know when the aspect radio of the computer monitor changed to the 16:9 wide screens we see today and who was the first to manufature and market it and on what computer or laptop? Or was it sold as a monitor and not included with a computer? I want to know when the 16:9 monitor was first introduced to the public and by who.

    The aspect ratio became popular because HDTV and Blu-Ray media used the 1080p resolution.

    And as you know:

    1920x1080 = 16:9

    So.... 16:9 it was -- LCD screen manufacturers used that aspect ratio for computer monitors as well because it was cheaper than producing a 16:10 panel and secondly nobody wanted ugly black bars or letterboxes when they were watching full HD content, so 16:9 reigned supreme.

    Of course, you can still buy 16:10 aspect ratio screens, but they are more expensive.
