To parents send their sons away to boarding school because they are gay?

Perhaps if you son goes thru puberty and comes out gay, you should just get over it, and continue the relationship, IRL though, there must be many parents who are angry about their son's homosexuality, and a good way to keep the family together, is to take him out of high school and send him away to prep school so his sexual orientation can be kept secret. If all of a family's neighbors and local friends don't know that the son is gay, it will allow them to avoid a bunch of problems that they would not have to deal with.

Do the students have a private room with a shower in prep school? Or is it more like a locker room where the boys walk around naked and take showers with each other? If the guys in a particular school have learned to accept that some of the boys will be attracted to other boys, and it is not a big deal, if you don't make it one, then a gay student may be able to avoid the rejection and insults he might have to endure coming from ill mannered lower class students in high school.
