    Actually, they make about the same. Each state and district has a sliding salary scale. Beginning counselors start off with a bit more, because they have to have an MA, but it evens out eventually.

    Odd question. Are you asking because you're making a decision about what to be? It's the wrong question, if so. Teachers and counselors do different things. What are you good at? What do you like to do? What do you like to study? To be a teacher, you study the subject you are going to teach. To be a counselor, you study psychology and educational counseling.
