How do people post non-clickable links?

Every link I've ever posted was clickable, I just copy and paste. How to people manage to screw that up?

    You're not able to post clickable links until you're on level 2 or above.... it's to prevent people posting spam or viruses.

    Sometimes that happens even if you copy and paste but its irritating when i run into them bcuz i cant get to non clickables from my nook

    Maybe they wrote down the adress and typed it into the computer
