1. Well the shear number of U.S. troops helped out
2. well there really were none they said ww1 was the war to end all wars. And a lot of kids died
3. that Germany could only have a army of 100,000 men no tanks and a very small navy
4. U.S. Neutrality President Woodrow Wilson argued that the United States should remain neutral in this conflict. Germany began attacking British and American vessels in the waters of the North Atlantic.

I know only German MG-08 killed many men in that war.
