My tooth really hurts! help!!?
When I bite down my tooth really hurts. I went to the dentist the other day and didn't have a cavity in my tooth. When I bite down it hurts so much that I drop my food. I got braces a few months ago and this started around that time. Could my braces have caused it? Do you know and remedies for the pain. Thanks in advance!

Chances are without any evidence of cavities that the braces are causing it. Take Ibuprofen and gargle/rinse with warm salt water. Try apply warm compresses to the affected area and eat soft foods until you can see your Orthodontist again.

Sounds like the braces. I use peroxide rinses to help infections and pain and such, it always works for me, even with cracked teeth. Don't know how that would act on the braces though.

I had the same problem when my back tooth got infected. But my neck didn't hurt though. Just everything from my chin up did. Doctor would be the best bet.
