Which one of the folliwing questions is grammatically correct?

1) Are you going home alone or you need a ride?

2) Are you going home alone or do you need a ride?

In general, when I want to ask a question with multiple choices, do I have to use the interrogative form for all the options?

    instead of :you need a ride?
