Need advice from a Mitsubishi master tech?

So as I stated in my last question, I changed the timing and balance shaft belt on my 2003 Eclipse GS, and I noticed that my balance shaft belt was a little off time, so I put it EXACTLY back on the marks. But as soon as I got it all back together and run it, it's vibrating, badly. What I want to know is what I've done wrong. I followed the marks exactly. Is there an extra step that I need to do to get it back on time, or what?

And yes, it was fine before I changed it out.

Thanks in advance.

Update:

Problem is that that bolt in the back where you're supposed to measure it, has been rounded off. Is there any way around that?

Balancer shaft is out of phase. Do it again. Sorry. There are places the balance shaft falls where the weight is in the wrong position. There is a plug on the back of the block that you remove and stick a #2 phillips screwdriver to check the weight's position. Procedure is in the manual.

Source(s): I did that EXACTLY once. It was on MY car too. I am a Fucking Mitsubishi Master Technician, getting sick of the thumbs down.
