It's not really that his a flop ( his success at Porto says it all ) but it's just that his players are not supporting him. Most of the players don't have his back and pretty much want him to cop the sack. Tbh it's not entirely AVB's fault for Chelsea's failure as the players are also to blame.

He appears to be the wrong manager for Chelsea and I do not expect him to be in charge at the start of next season. Chelsea's expectations are massive but they made a terrible mistake buying Torres. The team appears to have lost all its drive and confidence but their main problem has been an ineffective defence and this has meant that the midfield has been ultra defensive this season to compensate for the problems in the back four.

It is hard to tell because he is trying to build a new Chelsea team, for the future, but in the process it is difficult to win the Champions League ,and finish in the top 4 in the Premier League at the same time........... at least that will get them into the Champions League next season, which is the Holy Grail for owner Abramovich.

Yes! It's his responsibility to get the players on side and therefore it is his fault if they are not. He quite clearly favours the Portuguese and Spanish speaking players (Luiz, Ramires, Bosingwa, Meireles, Torres, Mata) and all but two of these (Ramires and Mata) are bad for the team. That is bad management whatever way you spin it. He has no clue defensively. He drops player just because they're old. That is dumb. How many generations of Man Utd teams has Ryan Giggs seen? You don't need to eliminate all your old players to get a new team. In fact I would argue you need them.

Good young manager that took the job too soon.
plus the players he has have already got rid of a few managers before hand.
Chelsea fans want Mourinho back. But their bloody handed owner as seen to it that will never happen
and plus, why would Mourinho come back?

No
His players arent supporting him and not many are performing as well as they could be.
Look at Torres for example. He should be scoring goals galore, yet he's not even capable of getting in the 1st 11 lately.
