Copy/Paste Leaves the original and sometimes on my computer also makes copies in the same file directory. Cut/Paste moves the original to a new location (Control.C and Control V) without copying anything other than that specific fileset.

Drag and Drop is usually used for moving files around within the same or similar programs. For instance in Photoshop you can Drag/Drop files into the open memory as a set, depending upon how much working memory you have available. If you work with large files, you should have up to 4 Gigabytes available when doing large jobs.

Copy and paste is not the same as drag and drop.

Drag and drop will actually move the item in many cases.

Copy and paste always leaves the original untouched.
