Can I turn a 67' VW Westfalia (westy) into a Microbus?
I want to turn a 1967 VW westy into a 1967 VW Microbus. I know Ill have to put 2 bench seats in the back in replace of the furniture, and add another window in the back, but I don't know if the microbus is longer, of has a different build. How hard would it be to do this, and is it possible? What else needs to be done. I don't care that the value will go down if I do this. Thanks

There is no basic difference, and everything can be easily restored.
I personally did not like the closet, icebox, or the sink all that much in a Westfalia either.
But if you have the poptop, I would leave that. The folding table is also handy.
But I don't know what you mean about "add another window in the back", because even when the window on the back left was covered by the closet, it was still there. Just curtained off. So I don't think you should need to add a window.

A 67 VW minivan IS a microbus. Doesn't matter what interior options are installed. If you don't want the Westfalia camper package, then sell the car to someone who does want it and start over with a plain old 7-passenger VW bus.
