Why are Asian Hair Salons so inexpensive?

Example: Take the "Japanese Thermal"... done by an Asian Salon, typically costs around $200-$300 as opposed to American Salons which would charge roughly $700+.

Why is that exactly, that the general costs for hair procedures lower?

Are the skills of Asian Salon workers to be undermined by this comparison in price?...

Your thoughts?
