Almost 4 year old Weimaraner poops in kennel HELP?

Question

I have an almost 4 year old Weimaraner that is still poops in his kennel.  
Let me start out by saying he has been diagnosed with sever seperation annixioty, after adjustments in food and supplements. I have even reluctantly put him on anti annixitoy meds (which did not help so took him off) i will add that his kennel is right next to my female Weimar (his girlfriend) who has maybe twice in her 2 year life had an accident, my male 11m old pit has never had an accident. I have also tried the otc anti stress meds, have also tried with a bendryl when i leave per my vets recommendation.  he will do it regardless of being left in there for a half hour or all day of work. and i have tried leaving him out during the day, just to give you an idea of how it went during a 30min trip of taking my daughters to school he pooped 3 times in my living room, got my 2 year olds dirty diaper out of the trash and tore it up on my bed and i had to was my gym shoes. :( can someone please help, I do not want to kennel him outside nor do i really have the budget to do so but I cant keep up on a 70 pound dog pooping everyday

Have you taken this dog to a Vet? This may be a sign of a medical issue. You may need to take him out every half hour, or every hour. I seriously think this is a medical issue that needs to be checked out.


This dog has something wrong with him, either internally, or neurologically that could be causing him to poop, or it may be due to extreme stress. Medicating the dog without knowledge or recommendation from a Vet could be contributing to his negative behavior or issue. I suggest you explain this to a Vet and stop filling the dog up with various medications.  

Weimerianer Girlfriend? The male dog is unstable, he doesn't need a girlfriend, and I hope to god you get her spayed before you have puppies, who crap in crates constantly. Some dogs pee and poop to scent mark, is he neutered? That could help, it would also help prevent more dogs with mental issues such as him.

Sounds like he may & need to be housed outside in a kennel run vs inside, although you don't indicate if you've ever tried the Thunder Shirt for Separation Anxiety.  Separation anxiety is a hard issue to correct.  There are numerous medications to try for it, not just one. It can take 30 days to determine if the medication will work.  Weimaraners can have or develop, irritable bowel syndrome or develop pancreatic insufficency; both can cause diarrhea, as well as worms or too much fat in the diet.

as the different consumer suggested, pooping 4 or 5 circumstances an afternoon isn't standard. 5 years old do not want to placed on pull ups. If she's pooping 5 circumstances an afternoon, i'd say see her clinical specialist. If she's pooping/peeing that many circumstances, i'd say she's doing it on purpose. to sidestep having to pass to college, she's soiling her underclothes. She's in all likelihood scared or only would not want to. it really is time for her to understand she could pass to college regardless of if she retains doing that, and that if she does that in college it is going to likely be embarrassing and the different youthful ones will make relaxing of her. also, you want to make effective she studies how gross it really is to shop doing that. tell her to pass into the lavatory and sparkling herself up and that you'll are available in after her and help her. Stuff like which will in all likelihood make effective she realizes it really isn't any longer going to artwork to shop doing this.

my doberman did that for awhile. if he doesnt get the hint, ( and this is gross but a very effective treatment) the next time he goes, u need to stick his nose in it for ten seconds. basically this teaches them not to poop in that area. u may need to do it a few times to get the hint
