Lumps in baby's Concentrate Formula?

So my son is on concentrate (only one w.i.c offers over here).. It's not expired or anything but within less than a day, say when the can is already halfway (refrigerated), there's a few lumps in the formula as i'm pouring it in. Anyone knows why that is? I shake it up regardless and my son has no problems with feeding but I'm just wondering what causes it? I use it up as directed so it's not like i'm letting it sit for days.

If it happens with more than just one can then most likely it is getting to cold or its just the type of formula when they mix the concentrate they dont get it mixed enough. As long as your baby is doing fine on it then I wouldn't worry about it.

I use concentrated and never have seen lumpy formula. It doesn't sound like it's good. Perhaps it was exposed to warm temperatures somewhere during shipping or storage. I wouldn't use it. I prepare the entire can with the directed amount of water and store it in the fridge in a glass pitcher. Try making up the entire can at once and storing it that way to see if the lumps disappear. Is there a fowl smell coming from it?

if its good start then that's prally the reason. i bought this when my son was born and i had the same problem with it i would mix the bottles and find lumps in it. even when it sat over night. put the powder in first then add the water to the bottle or put the water in a bowl and add the formula a little at a time and use a beater by hand to mix it. in my case i just switched formulas but you ddon'thave that option. (my opinion i think its just the good start formula)
