Walk into a model agency at 18? Which one?
Hi,
I was scouted a couple of times when I was 14/15/16 by different agencies and used to follow one up in particular until they became a bespoke agency for celebrities. Now I am 18 (nearly 19) and I was considering walking into one but then realised that 18 year olds don't get scouted for a reason. Is it worth doing, or probably too late to 'kickstart' a career? I know it takes time and the early years are the most important.
If so, Elite or Storm?

18 is not too late to give it a try. Models can get scouted at any age, although they have a better chance if they apply direct to the agencies. It depends on the type of modelling you want to do. Certainly the agencies prefer runway models to be 16+, but if you`re interested in the commercial divisions it is possible they will look at models up to 25. Having said that, if it`s commercial or editiorial modelling you want to do, find agencies where that is their top category. They`re likely to be more flexible.
Don`t restrict yourself to applying to one agency, all agencies have a high rejection rate so the more you apply to, the more likely it is you`ll get one interested.
