Any one else feel as though their creative writing is flailing?!?
When I was doing my GCSEs, and before then, I was always very creative, always writing, and always writing things that others thought were impressive and they'd like to read (in their opinion).
Since then (I am now 19) I have not been writing or reading as much as I did, and it's getting frustrating that my writing is no where near as successful as it was. The ideas are there, and forming much better, but getting it down on paper is another matter! Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I can do?!

I agree with what's been said so far. I just wanted to add that I found it helpful to set a loose goal for myself, it was how much I would read and write each day. My goal is 1,428 words a day (works out to 10k a week) and 10 pages of reading. Neither are specific. I have an e-reader loaded with classic books, i understand their value but, for the most part, I don't find them all that interesting (and I'm familiar enough with most of them to know how the end). I'm not opposed to casting any of them aside if I find a book that I'm truly interested in, but they're always there as a back up, I have like 50 of 'em, I will never be without something to read. I might work on one thing one day (while writing) and jump to something else on another day, until I come to a project that I have a goal for (contest, submission, production). This isn't about completing projects for me, it's about practicing, when I get on a project that I want to finish then my focus goes entirely to that. When I'm reading something or writing something that I'm really excited about, I surpass my goal by a long shot, but it still feels good to check and know that I hit it.
See, the problem that I've had, the reason that I've often felt as you've described, is that I never felt like I was accomplishing anything unless I finished it completely, but by having a goal, even if it's just a little one, and hitting it I felt like I did my part to build my skill for that day. Knowing that I did that, even if it only took me ten minutes a piece, helps keep me driven to do it again. Obviously I don't beat myself up if I don't have time that day, I'm a busy lady, but it's nice to accomplish something every time I set out to read or write.
Anyway, everyone is different, but I found that to be a really good way to keep me motivated. I don't try to make it perfect, (that's what the next drafts are for) I just get something done. Best of luck!

properly, utilising The image call, perchance you additionally could make a tale of ways issues from a image save appearing into someones life. Or the image can foreshadow what's going to take place in the tale. utilising My Terrifying adventure call, you are able to write a tale of a guy seeing somebody being shot via the guy's ultimate pal. you will have a conflict of the guy having to circulate to court docket and having the rigidity of whether to inform on his ultimate pal or not. or you are able to write a tale a pair of individual being run over via a motor vehicle on an intersection and having the guilt on the guy's pal who pushed that somebody onto highway, pretending to be humorous.

Do you hate writing?
Then stop and do something you love to do.
But, do you love to write, do you really love writing, for if you do, then there's no problem, it's just a bad case of writers block?

Honestly? What's probably happened is that you've matured. You've got to the point where you can see that your writing isn't pro standard. Chances are that your writing is _better_ now than it was then.
You just have to keep writing. Don't worry that your first drafts don't look as good to you as they used to. Pro authors don't publish first drafts either.

Begin writing. Like what E.B. White wrote, THERE'S NO TRICK TO IT. And like what Nike said, JUST DO IT.
