Why have I been blocked from deployment?

On my last 2 tours there was no issue with me transferring units to re-deploy to Ag-stan.

My last CO requested I meet with a councilor for a determination and to get 'signed off" before I re-deploy.

i met with him three times over a two month period, and although there was no issues to block me, I have been blocked for being "to willing" to return to combat. no determination of PTSD or other trauma, he just feels that I like it too much.

Has anyone else been blocked for anything similar, the councilor says he can't divulge that information.

this would be my 6th deploymet, BTW

Update:

sorry, I should have added that i'm an E-6P, 11C with a secondary as a 13F, (mortar section leader (FDC) with a secondary mOS as a forward observer) i'm assigned to an Air Assault unit as a line grunt with the HQ Platoon, 60mm Mortars.

Please excuse the lack of unit or division, they get a bit tense when that info goes out uncontrolled.

Your on a administrative hold for reasons unknown to you. Could be Medical,

Could be disciplinary. Sit down with your First Shirt. And just say Top, what is

    going on here.

Love how people assume he kills things or likes killing things. He may well be a chef or a clerk etc for all anybody knows.

The Military don't have to have a specific reason in any case, if your own unit is not deploying the Military are not obliged to grant every transfer request they get from you or anybody else.

But simply ask your CO, maybe your unit is short and he doesn't want you to Transfer out, who knows. Either way he is the only one to ask.

If you are forced to get a PSych Eval, you can't drive a military vehical go on a range or even deploy until the investigation is over with.

Well your Councilor is lying to you...

He is required to tell you everything...

Have a Marine friend that just returned this week from

his 6th Deployment as a Grunt...He is FUBAR...

He was never told to see a Counslor...just told to go...

I had to chuckle when I read...

"They think I like it to much"...

When I tried to extend my 2nd Tour in Vietnam...(Tour =13 months)

They said the exact same thing...and the answer was NO...

OH...and you DO Have PTSD...and are FUBAR...

Think that is the part the Counselor doesn't want to tell you...

because they are told not to give out that Diagnosis...

Source(s): Retired Marine...VSO...PTSD since 1969...the Gift that keeps on taking<<<

When someone starts enjoying taking lives and almost getting killed on a Daily Basis they pull a red flag on you. You may also having a hard time getting a gun or shooting license. I reccomend joining Law Enforcement and going for S.W.A.T. then you can still do some killing. Good luck!

Don't go on any killing spree's!!

they probably realized that they made a mistake letting you into the military, and they are no longer deploying you

When you start to "like" killing people... it becomes a red flag.
