Why Israel and The US of A want to attack Iran?

The LA Times reported Friday that US intelligence agencies do not believe Iran is actively trying to build an atomic bomb.

Ahighly classified US intelligence assessment circulated to policymakers early last year largely affirms that view, originally made in 2007. Both reports, known as national intelligence estimates, conclude that Tehran halted efforts to develop and build a nuclear warhead in 2003.

I'll tell you something interesting gladiator.

When the US invaded Iraq in 2003, the whole build up prior to the invasion Saddam Hussein denied Iraq had nuclear technology let alone a nuclear weapon or a nuclear plant for energy. However Iraq was still invaded and to this day no weapons have been found. Can you imagine if Saddam had proclaimed to the world "yes I have nuclear technology and Im using it peacefully to enhance my nations energy capabilities". That would have been all that Bush and Blair would have needed to say this guy can't be trusted they could have launched an invasion immediately without all that UN and IAEA interference slowing down the inevitable.

Now fast forward to 2012. Iran is not afraid or shy to even tell the world "yes we have nuclear technology and we are using it to develop energy", If this was Iraq under Saddam the US and her allies would have launched their attack instantaneously. However it appears the US, NATO and Israel are starting to realise that a war or military strike on Iran will have devastating consequences. There military capabilities are to a much higher standard then Afghanistans and Iraqs who were almost non-existent. They are aware there could be some serious repercussions so its taking a long time and they are planning as we speak a method and way to attack Iran. In the meantime the media is feeding the public with lies about how Iran is the biggest exporter of terror etc. It's just like what they did with Iraq trying to make a connection between 9/11 and Saddam. Only the ignorant and those not informed will fall for these lies.

What they thought a year ago is out of date and therefore irrelevant.

That was then, this is now. And times have changed:

"The restricted quarterly report circulated to IAEA member states showed Iran had increased activities at its main enrichment plant near the central city of Natanz, as well as work at the Fordow underground site near the city of Qum.

Meanwhile, the UN nuclear watchdog also said the "agency continues to have serious concerns regarding possible military dimensions to Iran's nuclear programme."

According to media reports, the IAEA said 52 cascades at Natanz, - each containing around 170 centrifuges - were now operating, up from 37 in November.

At Fordow, considered by some military experts as air raids-proof, almost 700 centrifuges are now refining uranium to a fissile concentration of 20 percent and preparations are under way to install many more."

That's quite a concern in light of the Iranian government's apocalyptic religious mania:

"A feature-length documentary film, produced by a top adviser to Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, claims that the cataclysmic events that will usher in an era of Muslim world domination are about to begin, triggered by actions launched by Iran and its Lebanese ally, Hezbollah.

Iran's Ahmadinejad repeatedly talks about the coming of the 12th imam, a Muslim messianic figure whose “reappearance” will make Islam victorious over the entire world.

"The feature-length documentary film produced under the direct supervision of Ahmadinejad’s top adviser and chief of staff, Esfandiar Rahim Mashaei, claims that the cataclysmic events that will trigger the return of the Mahdi are about to start."

Well, of course they're talking about nukes. That's a convenient excuse.

It's scary and calls for a security response.

    But let's get serious...

Nobody is actually concerned Iran may get 1 miserable nuke, or even 10. So what? What the heck are they going to do with it? They know just lobbing one at Israel would be suicide. Besides, the whole "death to Israel" agenda is blown out of proportion and mostly fabricated. Ahmadinejad's words, in proper context, calls for a different government in Israel, one that doesn't pursue Zionist policies. Plus, he doesn't personally have the authority to just launch an all-out assault on Israel.

Q: What did Iraq, Libya and Iran all have in common?

A: Selling oil on world markets in Euros, as opposed to U.S. dollars.

    http://globalresearch.ca/articles/CLA410A.html

Basically, the dollar is the world's reserve currency. It is the currency countries use on the international markets and that they keep in their central banks.

This state of affairs has allowed the U.S. to rack up the incredible levels of debt it currently has and to finance a trade deficit that has been going on for decades.

In layman's terms, the U.S. is producing less than it is consuming and the international quality of its dollar is allowing it to finance this consumption through debt, a state of affairs which its military enforces when needs be.

The U.S. spends 50 percent of all world military budgets. It's not threatened by anyone, and especially not Iran, with less than 2 percent of that cake and outdated equipments.

Even if they did get 10 nukes, what the heck are they going to do?

This is about the supremacy of the dollar and an empire desperate to survive.

Sure they did. No one wants to attack Iran. Iran wants to wipe Israel off the face of the Earth. Not going to happen.

so you think it is a good idea to base current policy on a five year old report?

while at the time that report MAY have been accurate since then the number of centrifuges iran has developed reflects directly on their desire for weapons

irrelevant, iran should comply with the UN and IAEA. let the IAEA in sites they want to visit, stop enriching uranium, shut down the heavy water plant in arak, answer IAEA questions regarding their illegal nuclear program. and implement safegaurds they have agreed too. no one made iran sign or ratify the Nuclear Non Proliferation treaty. they had no problem complying when iran got something out of it such as the russian completed bushehr nuclear power plant, or the chinese built nuclear technology center of isfahan. both legal under the Nuclear Non Proliferation Treaty and not in dispute

iran is violating article 3 of the Nuclear Non Proliferation Treaty, this treaty is legally binding, has been ordered by the UN security council to stop enriching uranium. is violating 6 UN security council resolutions. and has been found in non compliance implementation of the NPT safeguards agreement and relevant provisions of security council resolutions in the islamic republic of iran on at least three different reports. there is no proof of nuclear weapons needed in this case

    Article III

Each non-nuclear-weapon State Party to the Treaty undertakes to accept safeguards, as set forth in an agreement to be negotiated and concluded with the International Atomic Energy Agency in accordance with the Statute of the International Atomic Energy Agency and the Agency’s safeguards system, for the exclusive purpose of verification of the fulfilment of its obligations assumed under this Treaty with a view to preventing diversion of nuclear energy from peaceful uses to nuclear weapons or other nuclear explosive devices. Procedures for the safeguards required by this Article shall be followed with respect to source or special fissionable material whether it is being produced, processed or used in any principal nuclear facility or is outside any such facility. The safeguards required by this Article shall be applied on all source or special fissionable material in all peaceful nuclear activities within the territory of such State, under its jurisdiction, or carried out under its control anywhere
