Where did the crystal go,?

That I buried in the ground 12 years ago..

    If you remember exactly where you buried it... Depends on what type of crystal it was. If it was a salt crystal or other material that is water soluble, it probably dissolved. If the ground is subject to repeated freeze/thaw cycles, it may have been pushed to the surface and someone picked it up or a crow saw it as a "sparkly" and carried it off.

    Maybe you buried it somewhere else, and with the passage of time you have forgotten exactly where you put it. Or, someone watched you bury it and they dug it up and nicked it.
