Wolski traded...a precursor to a bigger Rangers deal?

The Rangers just dealt away Wolski for a prospect and a pick to the Panthers....is this a precursor to a bigger move by the Rangers to add a scorer? Looks like a salary dump setting up something bigger.

So the question is who are they after (Nash, Brown, Parise or someone else)? With only 4 guys in double digits scoring goals they will be semi easy to shut down in the playoffs so adding a winger seems like a no brainer....thoughts? And if they do deal what do they give up?

At the start of the day, the eyes were on the Rangers about Wolski. They've scratched him for a long, long time, and today is the final day to waive people so you can make cap space for monday.

That said, the Rangers (to my knowledge) already had 6 million in cap space going into today. So either they're going for Nash and they've got a deal made where they aren't losing 2 million in cap space or they're just doing this to do it and get a draft pick while they can.

It looks better for a trade, sure, but I think that Wolski could have been part of whatever trade. So speculation continues.

Definitely seems like that. Wolski had a big cap hit ($3 Million), so it seems like a bigger deal is on the way. Probably not for Parise, but possibly Nash/Brown. Brown would be a better deal for the Rangers, as he is does not have a big cap hit, and wouldn't cost them that much to get them.

Andrew Jones? I in simple terms dont see this being what the Rangers want. 33 hits in 209 at bats. .256 OBP .249 slugging haha, OPS .505? hahaha. Whats that observe Barkley likes to assert?? Turrible? he's obese, turning out to be previous, doesnt scouse borrow any bases and regarding the only element he has to grant is his fielding which isnt what it was once the two. The Rangers would desire to strengthen on the pitching team first. in step with annum its the comparable mistake they make repeatedly. it incredibly is why they proceed to fail. Its style of unhappy however because of the fact they have some high quality hitters on that team and a stable coach. perchance a veteran offering management is the only helpful element I see coming from this. we can could wait and notice.

Good trade for Florida low risk high reward. It looks like the rangers are going for someone getting rid of the 3.8 mil cap Wolski has
