Should I give up on him?

You want to tell him how you feel but you're afraid of rejection and the awkwardness it might create for your friendship. But if your feelings are strong, then I think you should tell him how you feel. Just say that you really like him and think he's good looking, smart, funny, athletic. You can word it so that you're being honest but not sounding desperate. His reaction will tell you everything you need to know. Even if he doesn't feel the same way, that doesn't mean the friendship has to end. It might be awkward for a little while but things will return to normal soon enough. Ok i have a friend that went exactly through that phase your going with right now. So first you need to find out if he gets creep out if when friend likes him. If he does get creep out and if you mind, then dont tell him. If he doesn't(like most people) then you should tell him and he would now know how you really feel about him... who knows, he might give you a chance if he likes you.

Second, you if you do go out with him and end up breaking up, the friendship that you two have wont be the same for a couple of days or weeks UNLESS you both try to work things out and move on. Try to get a friend to make him talk if he likes you or not. Hope it helps
