I dont know what your source for that is, but it sounds like a fair trade to me.
In order for this trade to work, GM otis smith of the Magic is asking for 3 things: cap relief, youth and a solid rebuilding unit.
magic:
This would make sense however, either the lakers or the wolves would have to take on hedo turkgalu's contract (most likely the lakers) to provide cap relief. Secondly, the magic would get younger with Bynum and derrick williams. Third, the lakers have draft picks that they can offer the Orlando Magic which would put them back in the race as a contender in the near future. (note they still have jameer nelson).
lakers:
The lakers would receive Dwight (and mind you I am the biggest laker fan). jj barea (he said he wanted to play for a big city) and spark plug michael beasley. HOWEVER, this still does not address our biggest issue which is the point guard situation. We obviously can't trade for an elite point guard if pau gasol is traded away and we would have to give away our trade exception so I'm not exactly sure how it would work. Then again, the lakers have never really had an elite point guard for a really long time now and we were still able to win 2 championships withing the last 3-4 years. A downside to all this is the point guard situation AND that would introduce a whole new starting lineup which would take awhile to adjust, im not sure that they would be able to win a championship with a new core.
wolves:
to simply put it, the wolves WANT gasol. They would be the biggest winners because they want to pair gasol with ricky rubio with the addition of kevin love that is a killer combo. That would put them a sg, or sf away from being serious contenders.
all in all, i like the idea. although highly unlikely because jim buss (lakers management) supposedly has his head up his ***.

That would good for the Magic and LAkers. Not so much for the Wolves. Still good though.
BQ: He can't. The only reason he blocked the Chris Paul trade is because the NBA owns the Hornets. The NBA does not own those teams.

i like the way you phrased your question, like if laker followers had finished administration on any commerce strikes that the group makes. besides, Lakers ought to shop Gasol, i don't be attentive to why many laker followers disrespect the guy lots, he substitute right into an excellent element of the Lakers repeat in 2009 and 2010, he's a proper 3 PF at the back of Dirk and Amare. he's the 2nd maximum experienced super guy contained in the league and an excellent 2nd all famous guy or woman selection. Giving Gasol and Bynum for an hyped up center in Dwight Howard isn't the properly suited selection. Dwight Howard is super and the only elite center contained in the league yet he's not as sturdy as maximum folk think of.

It would be fair, but i dont think lakers should trade bynum & gasol. But who knows?
BQ: Stern cant block it, the only reason he blocked the CP3 to lakers trade is cause the Hornets are owned by the league (David Stern) but these teams have their own owners so he cannot block it~.

The T-Wolves would be getting a steal. And the Lakers would fix up their problem at point guard along with having Beasley replace Gasol at PF.

i dont think stern can block this trade because it aint his team. From my understanding, he blocked the CP3 trade because the NBA owns the Hornets
