Choosing a name for my character! Which is your favorite?!?
Hello!
Here's a bit about my character...
She is short, about 4' 11". She's sixteen years old. Her hair is naturally brilliant orange-red and tightly curled. Her skin is pale. Her features are small, almost unnaturally so, her face pixie-like and heart-shaped. She has pink lips, dimples, and blushing cheeks. Her eyes, besides her hair, is her most beautiful, dominate feature: They are ice blue, large, and long-lashed.
Her personality is innocent, intelligent, and quiet. She's rather noble, a bit like a faerie princess. Which is what she is—a faerie princess of a world called Orszàg. Hense another feature—her blue-white transparent wings.
Anyway, I have four names picked out that I'm debating.
The first is Esmeraude. I love this name. Though it is quite long, the only con...
The second is Esmé. Oldfashioned and sophisticated, this is one of my absolute favorite names.
The third is Victoria. I have loved this name for years and years. It's also one of my favorites.
The fourth is my own creation, Ahvriel (Ah-vorr-EE-el). I think it's a very nice name.
So, which is your favorite? If you don't like any of these, do you have any suggestions?
Thanks in advance!
Best of luck and wishes,
~Red Jane
Er, just for mention's sake...I know that both Victoria and Esmé are names from the famed "Twilight" series. I don't believe I should ignore or avoid names I like a lot just because they're used in popular literature. I mean, what if I used the name Harry. Who cares if he's got the same name as Harry Potter?
And I liked both names even before I had ever heard of or read the "Twilight" series. XD
Meghan, don't worry, I dislike "Twilight" with a passion. Bella and Edward are practically demons to me. :P Team Jacob forever. XD

Whoa! It copied my answer, like, three times! Whoops! Weird...

Ahvriel sounds the most unique not Esme because people would acuse of stealing from the twilight saga and victoria is the same so Esmeraude or Ahvriel I would pick the most suiting between the two and for me that is Ahvriel.

I would go with Victoria only because Esme reminds me of twilight and I dispize twilight (no offense) and Esmeraude is also a nice name haven't heard that one b4 if you did call her that then Esme could be a nickname. As for the last one if you called her that then at least put how to pronounce it in the parenthesis but overall I like Victoria.

I think Victoria is a little too grand....however, the shortened version..Tori...I think that's brilliant! If the character was called Victoria formally, but was known as Tori to her friends, I think that'd be great!
But, at the same time, I think Ahvriel is beautiful, and because you made it up yourself, it's a lot more unique!
Personally, I'd choose Ahvriel, but since you asked, I thought you mightn't be sure about using a made up name, and if that's the case, I'd use Tori

I think Victoria works best for the character. ^___^
Although is a world named Orszàg, Esmeraude sounds so pretty & magical-like.

How about Aberdeen. I think it's such a cute name and it's unique....and Deen or Abby could be her nickname.
